George Svanadze

George Svanadze is the head of Legal Department in EY Georgia since 2016 year. Since 2006 he is a member of the Georgian Bar Association. He serves as an arbitrator of Tbilisi Arbitration Institute since 2011.

George is an Assistant Professor of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and an Associate Professor of Tbilisi Free University Law School. George is a distinguish speaker and has conducted numerous seminars and public lectures for advocates, judges, notaries, public registry lawyers and others. He is a co-author of the textbook of contract law and the new commentaries of civil code and also an author of scientific publications in Georgian, English and German languages.

George as one of the founders of the National Center for Commercial Law (NCCL), he has been actively involved in planning and implementation of various educational programs for Georgian lawyers.

George is an invited expert for the project “Supporting Development of Private and Administrative Law System in Georgia” implemented by the German International Cooperation Society (GIZ) and funded by the EU.

George is a bachelor and master of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, he acquired the master of Law and Business Degree in Bucerius Law School and Otto Beisheim Management School (Germany). George has got his doctoral degree in Christian Albrecht University (Germany).
